Asian Energy Strikes Oil in Gujarat
Asian Energy Services has found oil in Gujarat at a place called the Mevad field.
They drilled a well called NM-01, which is very deep, about 1,650 meters.
Right now, it's making about 100 barrels of oil every day, but they think it can make even more, up to 130 barrels per day.
They found oil in three different layers of sand.
The company is happy because they found more oil than they expected.
They plan to drill more wells to see how much oil is there.
The oil will be sold to places that make fuel, and the price will be based on something called the Brent benchmark.
Asian Energy owns half of this project, and other companies own the rest.
This discovery is good for the company because it will make more money and help them during a time when they are merging with another company called Oilmax.
Asian Energy Services discovered oil at the Mevad field in Gujarat with a new well, NM-01.
The well was drilled to a depth of 1,650 meters and encountered three hydrocarbon-bearing sand intervals.
Current production is about 100 barrels per day, with potential to reach 125-130 barrels per day.
The company plans to drill additional wells to evaluate the extent of the oil pool and assess development potential.
Oil from the Mevad well will be supplied to domestic refineries, with pricing linked to the Brent benchmark.
