Oman Offers Golden Visas Through Investment Programs
Oman, a country in the Gulf, is offering special visas called 'golden visas' to people who invest money there.
There are two main ways to get one.
Tier One requires investing at least RO500,000 in things like property or companies, and the visa lasts 10 years.
Tier Two needs a smaller investment, RO250,000, for a 5-year visa.
Retirees can also qualify if they have a steady income.
These visas aim to bring in money to Oman, which is known for being a good place to do business because of low taxes and costs.
Starting in 2028, residents with high annual income will pay a small income tax.
Oman offers golden visas through investment programs for foreigners.
Two tiers exist: Tier One requires a RO500,000 investment; Tier Two requires RO250,000.
Tier One visas are valid for 10 years, Tier Two for 5 years, both renewable.
Oman offers 100% foreign ownership and no personal income tax currently.
Residents face a 5% income tax on income exceeding OMR 42,000 starting January 1, 2028.
