KSCA Introduces New NRRR Method in Maharaja Cup
KSCA is trying a new way to decide who wins in cricket, called NRRR.
Before, they used NRR, which looked at how fast teams scored runs overall.
But NRR didn't consider how many wickets were lost.
NRRR also includes the number of wickets, which makes it fairer.
The new method was created by Keshav S Kolle and V Jayadevan.
It's meant to give teams a better chance in tournaments, especially when trying to catch up after a loss.
KSCA hopes the new method will be adopted by the BCCI.
KSCA implemented the Net Relative Run Rate (NRRR) method in the Maharaja T20 Cup.
NRRR replaces the existing Net Run Rate (NRR) method.
NRRR was created by Keshav S Kolle and V Jayadevan.
NRR doesn't take into account wickets lost, potentially leading to unfair outcomes.
The new method considers wickets lost, providing a more balanced calculation.
