Sweden to Aid Nag River Revival in Nagpur with New Center
Sweden and India are teaming up to help clean up the Nag River in Nagpur, India.
They plan to create a special center that will bring in Swedish expertise to improve water treatment, manage waste, and find new ways to use energy.
This center will support a big project already underway to clean the river by using Swedish technologies and monitoring pollution.
It aims to create better water systems and help the city grow in a sustainable way.
Sweden plans to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Sustainable Cities in Nagpur to aid in Nag River revival efforts.
The CoE will focus on water, wastewater, sludge, and energy management.
The initiative is spearheaded by the IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute.
The project supports the Nag River Pollution Abatement Project, led by Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
