Commonwealth Games 2026: India's 126-athlete contingent

The Commonwealth Games 2026 will start on July 23 in Glasgow, Scotland.

About 3,000 athletes from 74 countries will participate in 13 sports, including para sports.

India is sending 126 athletes, with 77 men and 48 women.

The largest group is in athletics with 32 athletes.

Other sports include boxing, judo, weightlifting, track cycling, artistic gymnastics, bowls, swimming, and para sports.

The Indian team aims to win medals in all these sports.

However, India's medal tally may shrink compared to previous years due to the removal of several traditional medal-heavy disciplines like wrestling, badminton, table tennis, hockey, shooting, and archery.

Success will depend on how well India performs in the remaining sports.
