Rajasthan Seizes 43,000 Litres of Adulterated Ghee

In Rajasthan, India, the Food Safety Department found that some ghee (a type of clarified butter) was not safe to eat.

They took action and seized over 43,000 litres of ghee from two companies, Bhog Vinayak and Shri Shyam Milk Food Product.

The ghee was from three different brands: Bhog Vinayak, Haryana Cream, and Naksh Dairy.

The companies were also breaking the rules by not operating from the address listed on their license.

The government is now testing the ghee and might cancel the companies' licenses if they find more problems.

This action is part of a bigger effort to keep food safe in Rajasthan.
