Shah inaugurates delayed Barapullah Phase-III, launches Delhi road projects

Amit Shah opened several new road projects in Delhi.

The biggest project is the third phase of the Barapullah elevated corridor.

It is meant to help people travel more easily between East and South Delhi.

The project cost Rs 1,635 crore and took much longer than planned.

Construction began in 2015 after the project was approved in 2014.

Work was affected by delays and problems during the Yamuna’s monsoon flow.

The corridor has roads, loops, a footpath and a cycle track.

Officials say the projects will reduce traffic and shorten travel times.
