AI job surge: Governments, schools and firms prepare future workforce
Computers are getting very smart, and they are starting to do jobs that people used to do.
A group called the World Bank says these smart computers, called artificial intelligence or AI, could help poorer countries grow really fast.
But this will only work if leaders get ready now.
So governments, schools, and companies are working together to teach people new skills.
In India, leaders approved 58 special AI centers and 543 labs to help people learn.
Schools are teaching short courses that can change every couple of years, instead of only long degrees.
Kids are learning things computers cannot do, like thinking carefully, being kind, and solving hard problems.
Companies are changing jobs so people check the computer's work instead of doing boring tasks.
If everyone works together, more people can have good jobs in the future.
A World Bank report says AI could help developing economies achieve a century of economic progress in a single decade.
India's government has approved 58 AI Centres of Excellence and 543 data and AI labs.
Policymakers are rolling out learning subsidies, public AI literacy programmes, and dynamic social safety nets for workers displaced by automation.
Universities are shifting toward micro-credentials, short-term bootcamps, and industry-backed apprenticeships updated every one to two years.
A McKinsey study found leading companies are redesigning work so junior staff focus on auditing AI outputs instead of manual tasks.
