NCERT Announces New Class 9 Social Science Textbook

NCERT has made a new Social Science book for Grade 9 students.

The book is called "Understanding Society: India and Beyond."

It is Part 2 of the Grade 9 Social Science textbook.

NCERT announced it in a statement dated September 28, 2026.

People can buy it from September 29, 2026.

It will be sold through NCERT offices and authorised sellers.

It will also be listed on NCERT's website and Amazon.

NCERT says the book is part of its work to update school textbooks.

The announcement does not explain the book's individual chapters or lessons.
