SEMICON India Day Two Announces 25 Semiconductor Partnerships

SEMICON India is a large event about making computer chips and the equipment they need.

On its second day, companies and government groups announced 25 new partnerships.

Tata Electronics made several agreements to produce more materials and equipment in India.

Other companies are working on power devices, smart-meter parts, chip packaging and semiconductor logistics.

The government also wants India to make more silicon carbide power modules locally.

New training programmes will help students and workers learn semiconductor skills.

An indigenous system-on-module called ISC VegaSOM was also launched.

The event has more than 600 participating companies and visitors from 52 countries.
