Muslims Reject Alternative Namaz Site
In Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, the Muslim community was offered a new place to pray on Fridays, but they said no.
They think the new place is too far from their usual spot near the Bhojshala temple.
The Supreme Court had said they could pray near the temple, but the new place is 2 kilometres away.
The Muslims are upset and plan to tell the Supreme Court that the offer is not fair.
Some Hindu leaders say the temple is for worship only and prayers should happen outside.
The local government is checking the court's order to make sure everything is done right.
Muslim community in Dhar rejected an alternative site for Friday prayers offered by the district administration.
The proposed site is 2 kilometres away from the Bhojshala premises, which the Muslims believe violates the Supreme Court's directive.
The Muslim side plans to approach the Supreme Court to initiate contempt of court proceedings.
Hindu leaders insist that worship at the Bhojshala temple should continue as usual and namaz should be offered outside the temple premises.
The district administration is reviewing the Supreme Court's order before taking further action.
