Mamata Banerjee backs CJP agitation, Abhijeet Dipke warns of X handle takedown after post is restricted · telegraphindia.com

Mamata Banerjee said she supports a group called the Cockroach Janata Party, or CJP.

The group wants Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to leave his job, saying there are problems with election processes.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke posted a thank-you message to Banerjee on X. X then made the post unavailable and said it was restricted because of local regulations.

Derek O’Brien criticized the restriction and blamed a “scared” government, but the reason and responsible authority have not been independently confirmed.

Dipke said he would not be surprised if his account was removed before October 10.

He also said the CJP plans a peaceful protest in Delhi that day if Kumar has not stepped down.
