England Dominate Pakistan Despite Usman’s Five-Wicket Test Haul

England played Pakistan in the first Test at Headingley.

Pakistan had scored 171 runs in their first innings.

England then batted strongly and reached 366 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

This gave England a lead of 195 runs.

Jordan Cox, Joe Root, Harry Brook and Dan Lawrence all scored more than 50 runs.

Cox and Brook were out before reaching 100 runs.

Pakistan’s Ali Usman bowled very well and took five wickets.

Rain shortened the day, allowing only 58 overs to be played.
