Heavy Rainfall in Telangana; Hyderabad Forecasts Showers
Heavy rain hit many areas in northern and eastern Telangana on Monday, but Hyderabad stayed dry.
The weather forecasters said that some areas got a lot of rain.
The IMD has warned of heavy to very heavy rain in a few districts and has issued orange and yellow warnings.
Hyderabad is expected to get light to moderate rain or thunderstorms overnight.
Officials have warned of potential water buildup and traffic problems.
They are preparing for possible disruptions caused by the storms.
Several districts in north and east Telangana experienced heavy rainfall on Monday.
Hyderabad remained dry throughout the day, with light showers expected after midnight.
Jagtial received the highest rainfall at 84.5 mm.
An orange warning was issued for districts including Bhadradri-Kothagudem and Peddapalli.
Thunderstorms with gusty winds of 30-40 kmph are forecast across all districts until September 5.
