Telangana's Iron Age Sites Threatened by Development

Telangana's Iron Age Sites Threatened by Development

Dr. E. Sivanagi Reddy, an archaeologist, is worried because many old burial sites and prehistoric remains in Telangana are being destroyed by farming, building projects, and new houses.

He spoke at an exhibition called 'Heritage @Every Step 2.0' where people showed old stone tools, coins, and sculptures.

He said that before building anything, the government should check if there are any old remains.

He also wants schools to teach kids about these old sites so they can learn to appreciate and protect them.

The foundation has already found and recorded over 1,800 heritage sites and the heritage of more than 1,500 villages.

Dr. Reddy believes that if more people understand the importance of these sites, they will help preserve them.
