Bengal Minister Attacks Murshidabad MPs After Party Switches

A Bengal minister criticized three MPs from Murshidabad for changing political parties.

He said they were switching sides to protect their own positions.

The MPs had been linked to the Trinamool Congress and later joined the Nationalist Citizens Party of India.

That party has said it will support the BJP in upcoming elections.

However, the BJP has said it is keeping its distance from the NCPI.

The three MPs also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss problems in their constituencies.

The minister accused the Trinamool Congress of corruption and extortion.

He also said the BJP would win strong support in future local elections.
