Nigel Farage Probe Resumes After Clacton By-Election Win

Nigel Farage is an important politician in the United Kingdom who leads a political party called Reform UK.

He is a Member of Parliament for a place called Clacton, which means people vote for him to help make the country's laws.

The people who check that Members of Parliament follow the rules thought he may not have followed them, because he did not tell anyone about some money and gifts he received.

So they started a special check, called an investigation.

Mr Farage quit his job for a little while, and the investigation was paused.

He asked the people of Clacton to vote again to decide whether he should keep his job, and most of them voted for him.

Now that he is back at work, the investigation has started again.

The investigators want to know whether he had to declare a very big gift of five million pounds from a businessman.

Mr Farage says he did nothing wrong because he was not doing politics when he got the gift.

If the investigators decide he broke the rules, the people of Clacton might get to vote again to remove him.
