Anup Bagchi named HDFC Bank’s new CEO after ICICI
HDFC Bank has chosen Anup Bagchi to be its new CEO.
A CEO is the person who leads a large company.
Bagchi has worked in finance for more than 30 years, mostly with the ICICI Group.
He studied chemical engineering at IIT Kanpur and management at IIM Bangalore.
He led ICICI Securities before moving into banking and later life insurance.
He currently runs ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.
His experience includes helping customers, companies and investors with financial products.
He has also supported online banking, online trading and the use of newer technologies.
He will take over at HDFC Bank after Sashidhar Jagdishan left the position.
