NCP to Consult BJP on Unification and Condemns Assembly Clash
Imagine two political parties, the NCP and the BJP, working together in India.
Sunil Tatkare, a leader from the NCP, said that if the NCP ever considers merging with a rival group, they'll have to talk to the BJP first because the BJP helped them join forces.
He also said there are no current talks about merging.
There was also a fight in the legislature between members from different parties, which leaders said was not good.
Sunil Tatkare stated that the NCP would need to consult the BJP if unification with the Sharad Pawar faction is considered.
Tatkare mentioned that no discussions are currently underway regarding the unification of the NCP factions.
The Ajit Pawar-led NCP joined the ruling BJP in Maharashtra in July 2023.
Tatkare condemned the scuffle between NCP (SP) and BJP supporters in the legislature complex.
Fadnavis stated the clash marred the good work done during the monsoon session.
