Supreme Court Dismisses Centre's Appeal Against Defsys
The Supreme Court of India recently made a decision about a company called Defsys.
The government had stopped Defsys from doing business with them because of a big case involving a company called AgustaWestland.
The Delhi High Court said this was unfair and told the government to let Defsys do business again.
The government didn't agree and asked the Supreme Court to look at it.
The Supreme Court agreed with the Delhi High Court and said the government didn't have enough proof to keep Defsys suspended.
They also said if the government finds any new proof, they can take action again.
Defsys' lawyer said they had nothing to do with AgustaWestland and the case has been going on for 12 years.
The Supreme Court dismissed the Centre's appeal against the Delhi High Court's order to lift the suspension of Defsys.
The CBI informed the court that no adverse material was found against Defsys.
Defsys was suspended over alleged involvement in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper case.
The Supreme Court noted that the principal offender, AgustaWestland, had been given a reprieve.
Defsys' lawyer, Mukul Rohatgi, stated that the company had no financial dealings with AgustaWestland.
