Trump Links Proposed $5,000 Dividend to Republican Victory
Donald Trump said adults could receive $5,000 if Republicans win control of both parts of Congress.
He called this proposed payment the “Trump dividend.”
He said money collected from tariffs would pay for it.
He did not explain who would qualify or when people would receive the money.
Trump made the promise while campaigning in North Carolina for Michael Whatley.
