EU to Fund 7 AI Gigafactories with €10 B

The European Union is giving €10 billion to build seven big factories that make and use artificial‑intelligence computers.

These factories will have powerful chips, software, and fast internet.

The EU wants private companies to invest another €20 billion.

The plan grew from five to seven factories because many countries were interested.

The EU will pick the winners by November 12, and the factories should start working about a year and a half after the contracts are signed.
