Trevor Noah Debuts YouTube Special, Envisions Creator-Run World
Trevor Noah, a famous comedian, is releasing his new stand-up show on YouTube.
He recently talked about why YouTube is a great place for creators.
He remembers growing up in South Africa where there weren't many TV channels, so YouTube felt like a direct way to connect with people everywhere.
Even when he hosted The Daily Show, he put clips on YouTube, which helped his show reach more people even if it didn't directly count towards TV ratings.
Noah believes that in the future, the internet will be run by the people who make the content, connecting directly with the audiences and brands they like.
He thinks YouTube is special because people can watch what they want, when they want, unlike traditional TV which might be missed if you're not watching at the right time.
Comedian Trevor Noah chose YouTube to debut his upcoming stand-up special, 'The Lost SA Special'.
Noah spoke at YouTube's first Creator Premieres event in New York, which also featured other creators.
He feels YouTube has always made sense to him, especially due to growing up with limited TV options in South Africa.
Noah envisions a future "creator-run economy" where talent, brands, and audiences connect directly.
He highlighted YouTube's advantage in allowing viewers to watch content at their convenience, unlike traditional timed television.
