Delhi Schools to Use Student-Made Aids for Interactive Learning
Delhi schools are changing how they teach!
Instead of just listening, students in grades 6-8 will now make their own learning tools with their teachers.
This means using things they can touch, see, and hear to understand subjects like math and science.
The goal is to make learning more fun and help kids remember things better.
The materials will be made from things that are easy to find and recycle.
Schools will have events where they show off what they made, and the best ideas will move on to bigger contests!
Delhi government schools will implement student-created teaching tools in classes 6-8.
The 'Joyful Learning' program aims to replace rote memorization with multi-sensory learning.
Students and teachers will co-develop teaching-learning materials (TLMs) for core subjects.
The initiative will be adopted by all government, NDMC, and Delhi Cantonment Board schools in 2025-26.
The program will roll out in four phases, including school, zonal, district, and state-level exhibitions.
