BJP Criticises Prakash Raj Over Remarks About Election Chief
Actor Prakash Raj made comments about Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in an online video.
BJP spokesperson NV Subhash criticised what he said.
Subhash said Raj compared the CEC to an idol being immersed during a festival.
He said people can criticise the Election Commission, but should not disrespect a constitutional office.
Subhash also said Raj should take any concerns about the SIR process to the proper forum.
He objected to bringing the Ganesh immersion tradition into a political argument.
Telangana BJP chief spokesperson NV Subhash criticised actor and political commentator Prakash Raj.
Subhash said Raj urged the “Cockroach Janta Party” and others to perform “Nimmajan” of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Subhash said comparing the CEC to idol immersion went beyond legitimate criticism of the Election Commission.
