HP FUTURES Project Reviewed by Education Minister
The HP FUTURES project is an education reform initiative in Himachal Pradesh.
The education minister recently reviewed its progress in a meeting.
The project aims to improve teaching and learning, promote sustainability, and teach important values to students.
It focuses on three main areas: teaching skills instead of rote learning, using sports to teach values, and integrating environmental awareness into education.
The project has already trained teachers and increased student participation in eco-clubs.
The minister emphasized the need for continued collaboration and monitoring to expand these practices across the state.
The HP FUTURES project was reviewed in a high-level meeting presided over by Education Minister Rohit Thakur.
The project aims to strengthen education quality, relevance, and equity in Himachal Pradesh.
It is built on three pillars: Competency-Based Education, Value Education through sports, and Greening Education.
Nearly 200 teachers have been trained in value education through sports.
The project has identified gaps between policy and classroom practice and increased student participation in eco-clubs.
