UP Aims to Raise Credit-Deposit Ratio to 62% by March 2026

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, had a meeting with bank leaders to talk about increasing the state's Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio.

This ratio is a measure of how much money banks lend compared to how much they have in deposits.

The current ratio is 60.39%, and the goal is to reach 62% by March 2026.

The Chief Minister wants banks to help more people get loans, especially for small businesses and farmers.

He also mentioned new schemes like One District-One Cuisine (ODOC) to support local food traditions.

The state has seen a lot of growth in banking over the past few years, with more deposits and loans being given out.

The meeting also discussed how well the state has done in financial inclusion, like opening new bank accounts and enrolling people in insurance schemes.
