Mumbai: Relief for Stalled Projects, Residents Can Appoint New Developers
In Mumbai, people living in 86 housing projects that were stopped will now get help.
The original developers weren't paying rent or finishing the buildings, so they lost their rights.
The government is letting the residents choose new builders.
Since 2022, the government has gotten back a lot of the money owed to residents.
A minister also gave keys to some people whose homes were taken for a new court.
This helps the residents move to new homes.
Residents of 86 stalled SRA projects can now appoint new developers.
The SRA has terminated the rights of developers who failed to pay rent or complete construction.
