Paleolithic Quartz Hand Axe Discovered Near Kongarakalan, Hyderabad

People exploring a forest near Kongarakalan found a very old stone hand axe.

The axe was made from quartz, a hard type of stone.

They also found a round stone that may have been used as a sling stone.

The explorers said these objects could show that ancient humans lived in the area.

They connected the tools to the Paleolithic Age, a very early period of human history.

That period began about 30 lakh years ago and ended around 10,000 BCE.

Similar stone tools have been found at Manchirevula Beerappagutta.

Archaeologists are being asked to study the area more carefully.
