Indian Woman's Sweden Tax Comparison Sparks Public Services Debate

Indian Woman's Sweden Tax Comparison Sparks Public Services Debate

Gopi Kapadia compared taxes in India and Sweden in a social media post.

She said people in both countries may pay around 30% tax.

She argued that Swedish taxpayers receive many public services in return.

These include healthcare, education, roads and social security.

She asked what Indian taxpayers receive for their taxes.

Some people agreed that India’s services can be weaker.

Other people said India is much more populated than Sweden.

They also said the countries have different tax systems and levels of tax compliance.
