Adani Enterprises Reports Q1 FY27 Loss
Adani Enterprises, a major Indian company, recently announced that it lost a lot of money in the first three months of the financial year 2026-27.
This loss was mainly because the company had to pay a large sum of money to settle a case with a U.S. government agency.
Despite this, the company's overall income increased compared to the same period last year.
The company also appointed a new independent director and raised a significant amount of money through a special share offering.
However, there are ongoing legal issues related to one of its projects, which the auditors have noted in their report.
Adani Enterprises reported a consolidated net loss of ₹1,461.54 crore for Q1 FY27, compared to a profit of ₹976.48 crore in the same period last year.
Total consolidated income for the quarter was ₹33,546.26 crore, with revenue from operations at ₹32,923.98 crore.
The company reported an exceptional loss of ₹2,644.02 crore due to a settlement payment to the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
On a standalone basis, the company posted a net loss of ₹890.34 crore for Q1 FY27, with total income at ₹6,823.40 crore.
The board approved the appointment of Anju Abrol as an independent director for a term of three years.
