BJP Accuses YSRCP of Misinformation on PPP Medical Colleges
Sadineni Yamini Sarma, a spokesperson for the BJP in Andhra Pradesh, criticized the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for opposing the state government's plan to build 10 medical colleges using a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
She said the YSRCP is spreading false information and is afraid that their past corruption in building medical colleges will be exposed.
Yamini Sarma mentioned that the PPP model is already being used in 20 other states and has been successful.
She advised the YSRCP leaders to learn from these successful models.
The central government provides 80% of the funding for these projects, and there are already 919 diagnostic centers operating under this model.
The YSRCP, however, accused the coalition government of selective policing and political intimidation, claiming that the blood rituals were originally carried out by TDP supporters and are now being used to target the opposition.
They also questioned the transparency of the tender process for the medical colleges and demanded an SIT probe if they return to power.
