North India Faces Severe Flooding: Deaths, Damage, and Rescue Efforts
Heavy rain has caused bad floods in North India, especially in Punjab.
Sadly, many people have died, and lots of houses and fields are underwater.
The rivers like Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi are overflowing because of the rain in the mountains.
The government is helping people, but some roads are closed, and schools are shut.
The army and other teams are rescuing people.
The Yamuna river in Delhi is also very high, and water is getting into homes.
The Prime Minister is helping, too, and the government is assessing the damage to help the affected people.
North India is experiencing severe flooding, particularly in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
The death toll has risen, with the worst affected states being Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
Punjab received record rainfall in August, leading to overflowing rivers and extensive damage.
Rescue operations are underway by various agencies, including the Army and NDRF.
The Yamuna River in Delhi has crossed the danger mark, causing waterlogging and evacuation warnings.
