Apple May Bring Touchscreens and OLED to MacBook Pro
Apple may make a MacBook Pro that has a touchscreen.
This could happen as soon as October, although the reports describe it as a possibility.
The computer may also get a brighter OLED screen.
Its software could make buttons and menus easier to use with fingers.
Apple may use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips instead of newer M6 chips.
The laptop could be thinner and lighter than earlier models.
There may not be a basic version at launch.
The new computer is expected to be more expensive.
Apple may launch its first touchscreen MacBook as soon as October, alongside a major MacBook Pro redesign.
The redesigned MacBook Pro is expected to feature a tandem OLED display with improved colour, contrast and brightness.
Reports suggest Apple could use existing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips instead of debuting M6 Pro and M6 Max processors.
Hints in macOS 27 include Sidecar touch support, pull-to-refresh functionality and larger menu-bar items.
