Airtel Leads June Subscriber Additions, Jio Trails
In June 2026, Bharti Airtel added the most new wireless users in India, with 2.99 million new subscribers.
Reliance Jio added 2.15 million, while Vodafone Idea added 163,757.
However, when excluding machine-to-machine connections, Jio added more users than Airtel.
The total subscriber base in India grew to 1.348 billion, with both urban and rural markets seeing growth.
Jio also led in 5G fixed wireless access additions.
Airtel had the highest active subscriber ratio at 99.27%, followed by Jio at 99.07%.
Vodafone Idea's market share continued to decline, while Jio's market share remained flat.
