Golden Chariot Dedicated to Udupi Krishna
A special golden chariot called the Parthasarathi Suvarna Ratha was given to Lord Krishna at the Udupi Sri Krishna Math.
This happened because a religious leader named Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji completed 50 years of his spiritual life.
The chariot is different because it can be used inside the temple, even during the rainy season.
It shows Lord Krishna as a charioteer from a famous story called the Mahabharata.
Many people came to see the chariot in a big parade.
The temple is special because it has daily chariot festivals, which is not common in other places.
The chariot is part of a big effort to teach people about the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred text.
Even the Prime Minister of India participated in a related event.
The Parthasarathi Suvarna Ratha was dedicated to Lord Krishna at Udupi Sri Krishna Math.
The dedication marked the completion of 50 years of ascetic life of Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji.
The chariot can be used inside the temple, allowing Rathotsava during the monsoon season.
It symbolically depicts Lord Krishna as Parthasarathi, the charioteer from the Mahabharata.
A grand procession with the chariot drew large crowds of devotees.
