Tripura CM urges tribal vote for BJP
The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, asked people to vote for the BJP in the upcoming tribal council elections.
He said that since the BJP came to power, Tripura has seen a lot of development and peace.
The council, which is currently run by another party, will have elections in March.
The Chief Minister also talked about how the communist party caused problems in the past and how the BJP has brought peace.
He also mentioned that the government supports using both Bengali and Roman scripts for the Kokborok language, which is spoken by many tribal people.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha urged voters to support the BJP in the upcoming TTAADC elections for peace and development.
The 30-member TTAADC, currently ruled by the Tipra Motha Party (TMP), is scheduled to go to the polls in March.
Saha accused the communists of engineering ethnic riots in 1980 and creating outlawed groups for bloodshed, which the BJP has managed to bring back to the mainstream.
The Chief Minister criticized the TMP for attempting to issue diktats to the BJP and emphasized the importance of maintaining the alliance with the right behavior.
The government supports maintaining the status quo on the Kokborok script, allowing students to write in both Bengali and Roman scripts.
