UP Cabinet Approves Land Subsidy for Global Capability Centres
The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to give money back to companies that buy land to set up special offices called Global Capability Centres.
These offices help with things like information technology and other services.
The government will give back 30% to 50% of the land cost, depending on where the office is set up.
More money is given back in areas that need more development, like Purvanchal and Bundelkhand.
The companies have to finish building their offices on time, or they have to pay back the money with extra interest.
The government hopes this will bring more jobs and help the state grow.
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a land subsidy for Global Capability Centres (GCCs) to encourage their establishment in the state.
Subsidy rates vary by region: 30% for Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad, 40% for Paschimanchal and Madhyanchal (excluding Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad), and 50% for Purvanchal and Bundelkhand.
The subsidy applies only to land purchased from government agencies, not rented premises or co-working spaces.
Beneficiary units must complete their projects within the prescribed timeframe, or the subsidy may be recovered with 12% annual interest.
The policy aims to boost investment, create employment opportunities, and ensure balanced industrial development across Uttar Pradesh.
