IIM Ranchi Replaces Midterm Exams with AI Problem-Solving
IIM Ranchi is changing how it tests students in the middle of their courses.
Instead of normal exams, students will use AI to solve real-world business problems, helping them learn how to use AI tools and prepare for future jobs.
This new method, called Working with AI, wants students to learn to work with AI.
They will still have regular exams at the end of the course to test what they've learned and IIM Ranchi is making attendance more flexible.
IIM Ranchi is replacing traditional mid-term exams with AI-integrated problem-solving projects across all courses.
The initiative is called "Working with AI" (WAI).
Students will use AI to solve real business problems to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
End-term exams will remain as traditional hall-based assessments.
IIM Ranchi is also restructuring its attendance policy, moving away from compulsory attendance to a flexible, incentive-based model.
