Protests Support Sonam Wangchuk, Demand Education Reforms
In Nashik, many groups protested to support Sonam Wangchuk, who was detained during a peaceful protest in New Delhi.
They are also backing the demands being made at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
The protesters want the government to change its education policies, investigate a scam in teacher exams, and let people protest peacefully.
They think the government's actions are unfair and want the education minister to step down.
Progressive groups protested in Nashik against action on Sonam Wangchuk and supported Jantar Mantar agitation.
Protesters alleged Wangchuk was detained and forcibly hospitalized, calling it an attack on democratic rights.
They demanded a reconsideration of the 'One Nation, One Examination' policy and a review of the National Education Policy.
Protesters also called for an investigation into the Maharashtra TET scam and the resignation of the Union Education Minister.
The demonstration was led by various leaders and organisations, including CPI(M), CITU, and AITUC.
