Police Probe Alleged Kochi Metro Confidential Documents Leak
Police are investigating whether confidential Kochi Metro documents were stolen.
The case was registered after Kochi Metro Rail Limited noticed its documents being shared in WhatsApp groups.
The FIR says someone may have entered company computers and email accounts without permission.
It also alleges that employee information and company financial details were taken.
The documents were reportedly posted in a group discussing Kochi Metro projects and development.
Police do not yet know who was responsible.
They plan to question people who operated the group.
Investigators are also checking whether anyone inside KMRL helped.
Cyber-police officers may assist with tracing those involved.
Kochi Metro Police registered a case on September 12 after a complaint from Kochi Metro Rail Limited.
The FIR alleges unauthorised access to KMRL computer systems, email accounts, desktops and mobile phones.
Confidential documents, employee information and company financial details were allegedly stolen and circulated online.
The documents were reportedly shared in a WhatsApp group called “Unified Kochi Metro Rail Reform and Development Forum”.
Police are examining the group, questioning its operators and investigating possible KMRL insider involvement with cyber-police assistance.
