Tamil Nadu Celebrates Vinayaka Chaturthi With Devotion and Creativity

People across Tamil Nadu celebrated Vinayaka Chaturthi by worshipping Lord Ganesha.

Families brought clay idols into their homes and performed prayers.

Temples held special ceremonies with flowers, music and sacred offerings.

Some temples prepared very large kozhukattai sweets for Ganesha.

Communities also built colorful pandals with creative designs and eco-friendly materials.

In several places, the idols were unusually large or made from special items such as rudraksha beads and sandalwood paste.

Public processions and idol immersions are expected to become busiest on September 19 and 20.

Police and Home Guards were deployed to help manage crowds.

Some beaches were restricted because authorities were following environmental directions to protect the sea.
