ED Probes Rs 40-Crore Hawala Trail in Murder Case

The Enforcement Directorate is following money connected to the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy.

Investigators suspect that about Rs 40 crore may have been used or promised in connection with the alleged conspiracy.

They are checking whether some of the money moved through secret hawala channels.

Sheik Dastagiri, who was accused in the case and later became an approver, answered questions from officials.

He gave them financial records from 2018 to 2024.

He had earlier said that he was promised Rs 5 crore and had received Rs 1 crore.

Investigators also recovered cash from a locker linked to Syed Munna, according to the article.

The ED may question MP YS Avinash Reddy about Rs 24 lakh allegedly seized at his home and inspect two lockers.

The agency says it is studying the money trail and may question other accused people.
