Bagalkot Doctor Accused of Drawing Salary During Full-Time MD

A government doctor in Bagalkot is accused of receiving her salary while attending a full-time medical course.

The doctor, Dr Ankita Yargal, reportedly earned Rs 75,000 each month.

She was supposed to work at a local Namma Clinic from 9 am to 4.30 pm.

Residents said the clinic was often closed because she was not there.

Officials said they did not know she was studying for an MD.

Dr Rajkumar Yargal, her father, said her salary had now been stopped.

The health department plans to investigate the matter before taking further action.

The allegations have drawn attention because of her family connections.
