Officials Plan Safer Ganesh Festival Amid Low Water
Officials are preparing for the Ganesh festival in Warangal.
They want the celebrations and idol immersions to happen peacefully.
This year, there is less water in many tanks because there was less rain.
So officials must find suitable ponds and other water sources.
They may also store water and build special immersion ponds.
Cranes and other equipment will be kept ready for large idols.
More festival mandapalas and devotees may come this year.
Extra staff and better coordination will help manage sanitation, traffic, electricity, and safety.
MLA Naini Rajender Reddy urged departments to coordinate peaceful Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations.
Officials were asked to create an advance action plan for idol immersion because tanks have limited water after low rainfall.
Authorities should identify ponds and water sources, store water where needed, and establish immersion ponds.
Cranes, equipment, and safety measures are required for immersing large idols and preventing accidents.
Officials were told to prepare for more mandapalas and devotees by strengthening sanitation, traffic, electricity, police, and other arrangements.
