Navratri Begins Across Madhya Pradesh With Worship, Garba and Security Measures

Navratri, a nine-day festival, began in towns and villages across Madhya Pradesh.

People are visiting temples, praying, and taking part in Garba dancing and other celebrations.

Many places have set up Durga idols and decorated pandals for the festival.

In Nalkheda, officials opened a permanent police post near a busy temple to help keep people safe and manage crowds and traffic.

At Maa Bhadwamata Temple, officials approved new improvement projects and checked preparations for the fair.

Ratlam officials said 122 groups could hold public religious events.

In Sameda, five young people carried a sacred flame from Pavagadh on a long journey, and villagers welcomed them home.

The flame will be worshipped during Navratri.
