First Passenger Flight Lands in Khartoum in 3 Years

A passenger plane landed in the capital city of Sudan, Khartoum, for the first time in almost three years.

The war in Sudan started in 2023 and has caused a lot of damage, including to the airport.

Many people have been forced to leave their homes, and there have been many deaths.

The government is trying to make life normal again, and this flight is a step in that direction.

It's the second commercial flight to land in Khartoum since the war began.

The first one was last year, but it was disrupted by fighting.

The war is between the military and a group called the Rapid Support Forces.

The airport was badly damaged at the start of the war.

The flight came from a city called Port Sudan, which had been the temporary government seat until recently.
