India to Buy Air Defence Radars from BEL for Rs 2,000 Crore
The Indian government is buying new air defense radars from an Indian company, BEL, for about Rs 2,000 crore.
These radars will help protect the country by spotting things like airplanes and drones.
The deal supports local businesses and helps make India's defense industry stronger.
India is making more of its own military equipment and selling it to other countries.
The Defence Minister said that defense production has greatly increased, and exports have also grown significantly.
This is part of a plan to boost India's defense capabilities and create jobs.
The Ministry of Defence signed a contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for Air Defence Fire Control Radars.

The radars will detect airborne threats including fighter aircraft, helicopters, and drones.
The procurement supports indigenous defence industries and Indian MSMEs.
