Laurus Labs to Invest Over ₹5000 Crore in Visakhapatnam Pharma Complex

A company named Laurus Labs is building a big new factory in Visakhapatnam, India.

They plan to spend over 5000 crore rupees, which is about $600 million.

This factory will make important medicines and will be built on 532 acres of land.

They are also building a large facility for fermentation, which is a process used in making medicines.

Originally, they planned to build this fermentation part in a different city called Mysore.

However, they decided to move it to Visakhapatnam because the infrastructure and waste treatment facilities are better there.

The company might even invest more money if needed.

The building process is expected to take about eight years.
