UDF parties face survival battle in Kerala polls
A leader from a political party called the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) in Kerala, India, says the upcoming state elections are very important for his party and the United Democratic Front (UDF) alliance.
He wants to run for office in a place called Chavara, where his father was a leader before him.
The RSP and other UDF parties think they need to do well in these elections to stay strong in politics.
The leader also wants his party to be given different areas to contest in, as the ones they have now are not very favorable.
He believes the UDF will support his requests.
RSP leader Shibu Baby John states the upcoming Assembly election is a 'do-or-die' battle for UDF parties.
John expresses his desire to contest from the Chavara constituency in Kollam district.
He previously won the Chavara seat in 2011 but lost in 2016 and 2021.
The RSP plans to demand more favorable constituencies from the UDF alliance.
John believes the UDF is expected to make significant gains in Kollam district and across the state.
